パリ国立オペラ座より、正式アナウンス ～ ヨナス・カウフマン降板のお知らせ ～
Jonas Kaufmann is obliged to withdraw from the production of Les Contes d’Hofmann at the Opéra Bastille.
He has sent us the following letter :
«I’m very sorry that I have caused a great deal of disappointment and frustration over the past few weeks because of my cancellation. Naturally, I can understand the annoyance of all those who had planned expensive trips to hear me. However, there is unfortunately no guarantee that a singing voice will function flawlessly and sometimes things happen to a singer that force them to take a longer break. When I noticed that my voice was not functioning as it should, at first I thought that it was the beginning of an infection. However, the medical examination revealed another diagnosis: the side effect of a drug had burst a small blood vessel on the vocal cord when singing. This means that I must stop singing until the haematoma has been completely reabsorbed by the body, in order to avoid any lasting damage. With a heavy heart, I have therefore now had to cancel “Hoffmann” in Paris. I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere thanks for the many get-well wishes that I have received over Facebook and email.»

ヨナス・カウフマンは、オペラ・バスティーユでの「ホフマン物語」のプロダクションから、降板を余儀なくされました。
彼は、我々に、以下のような手紙を送ってきました。
『私の降板のせいで、ここ数週間に渡り、多大なる失望と苛立ちをもたらしてしまい、誠に申し訳なく思っています。私の声を聴くために、高額な旅行を計画してくださっていた、すべての人々の怒りを、当然、私は、理解できます。しかしながら、残念なことに、（歌手にとって）歌声が、完璧に機能し続ける保証などなく、時には、長期療養をせざるを得ないような事態も、歌手には、降りかかるのです。私の声が、あるべき姿で機能しなくなっていることに、私が気付いたとき、最初、私は、初期の感染症だと思っていました。しかしながら、医学的検査によって、新たな診断が明らかとなりました。ある薬の副作用によって、歌っていた時に、声帯にある微細な血管が、破裂してしまったのです。このことは、一切の長引くダメージを避けるためにも、この血腫が体に完全に再吸収されるまで、歌うことを止めなければならないということを、意味しています。それゆえに、私は、沈痛の思いで、パリでの「ホフマン」をキャンセルせざるを得なかったのです。私は、この場を借りて、FacebookやE-mailで頂いてきた、沢山の「病気が良くなりますように・・・」という願いに、心から感謝の意を表したいと思います。』
